A rotator cuff tear is one of the most common shoulder injuries, especially in older adults. It can occur due to progressive tendon degeneration or following trauma. It mainly affects the supraspinatus tendon.

- Acute or chronic pain in the lateral shoulder
- Difficulty or inability to raise the arm
- Loss of strength
- Night pain and progressive functional limitation

- Physiotherapy for partial or small degenerative tears
- Arthroscopic or open surgery to repair the tendon in complete or persistent tears
✅ Prognosis
- Very good with surgical repair of repairable tears.
